Things i think when..

Helloo beautiful people,
So i was over at Bonnies blog, "The life of Bon" and i was casually scrolling through while reading it and i found a post that i too want to do, not just cause hers was so super funny, but because its true. It's called "Things i think when.."
By the title I'm sure you can kinda guess what its about and how it's going to go. So lets get to it.

Things i think when.. waiting in line to pay at the shops.
Are they new? is that why their taking so long to add everything up?
Look how much shopping the people in front of us have? we're going to be here forever?
Should i really be buying this, i mean, am i really going to eat it? maybe i can get it next time..? yeah defiantly  *puts item back*
Why is it always me?
I'm going to hell, as i just cant be bothered to stand here in the line anymore, and buy clothes i don't need but desperately want.
Why do we all line up in a straight line anyway, why not in zigzag lines?
Is she open *approaches till slowly, and waits for a smile* YAY she's open.
Why have 356474674 tills if you only have 2 open?!

Things i think when.. in the shower.
Why do we have so many shampoos and conditioners lying around.
Great, i  need to pee, why do i always forget to do this before entering the tub?
I swear i washed my hair yesterday, why is it so greasy already?
Ohh i need to buy more LUSH goodies for my baths!
How can people not enjoy bubble baths?
MUST BUY NEW RAZORS!!!
I don't want to step out of the bath, as it will be cold out there... NOOOO...

Things i think when.. driving.
Go any slower and i may as well just stop flat out and give you a 10 minute head start.
Hey buddy, theres a little lever on the side that you turn to let other drivers know your turning, its called an indicator... USE IT!
Hm, the car in front of me hasn't got all their break lights working! oh my god, i hope all my break lights are working?
Can i make it through the yellow light before it hits red.....
Was there a camera anywhere around?
Oh, my jam, turning the radio right up.
I seriously NEED to bring more new CD's into my car, what is this nonsense i have playing?!
Why are my windows always steamed up on the inside, takes ages to fully see where I'm going.

Things i think when.. reading other blogs.
Oh, her pictures are nice and big, she has a good camera.
How do these bloggers find so much time to do all this?
Aw cute house.
These photos look proper professional, bet they took long to edit.
Oh that's a cool idea, wish i had thought of it too.
Oh i wonder if that will work for me, might have to buy it too, for testing purposes..then again, can i afford it?
I want her hair/eyes/teeth.. etc.
Where do these bloggers get all this money to buy whatever their heart desires and wants!
These blogs all kind of look the same to me, where is the uniqueness?

I thought this was a fun little idea, and i would love to hear some of your "Things you think when..", please feel free to leave them in the comments below.

I hope your all week, and enjoying the festivities leading up to the New Year! :)

Outfit of the day in Newcastle

Hello my gorgeous readers,
As some of you may know, i went away to Newcastle last week during the half term and i managed to get ONE, yes ONE, outfit of the day snap..
So i thought i would dedicate a WHOLE blog post to it, (because thats what you do right?)

First things first..
I tend to think doing Outfit of the day posts are a really nice way to see how certain people mix and match their outfits and their style, i love to see what clothes other people are wearing and if i would like to buy them too, BUT i do find a lot of things AWKWRD about Outfit of the day posts. I find actually taking part in them a little scary, I mean i do, do them, of course..like this one, right now, but the whole "posing" to show off your outfit does not come naturally to me, and its even more daunting if your doing the photo shoot (so to speak) in a public space with people staring at you wondering why your taking a close up shot of your footwear etc!? awkward..

Here's what i find awkward:
1. Posing, in general.. how should i stand?, arms by my side? hand on hip? Feet apart? feet together? maybe feet over crossing each other? either way the whole "posing" looks and feels weird.

2. Finding the perfect back drop to your photo. Are you going for grungy? maybe chic? elegant and classy? either way you have to find the perfect backdrop to match with your style and taste. Will you have people in your background therefore making it a busy photo maybe like a shot in Oxford Street in London or will you go for a slightly quieter shot like down a country lane?

3. The actual outfit. Are there key pieces you want to show off from the outfit, like for instance your new jumper which you think the whole world and it's mother should know about it, or is it a whole outfit kinda post. This will bring me on to part 4.

4. How will you go on to explain the clothes, "I brought it here and here for this price, it feels fluffy and keeps me warm, love the colour and would recommend it as it was a bargain", or will you opt for the "it was brought here, it was brought here and it was brought here" mode. Basically will you go into details about how the clothes feels on you, and what fabric its made from etc, or will you just name the shops where you brought the clothes from.

5. Photo heavy spam.. How many photos is too many photos, when does it go from showing off an outfit to just being a pure spam post. Also from what angle will the photos be taken, do you want close up shots or are you going to opt for full body shots etc.

As you can see, there are always a few things that i take into account and consider when doing Outfit of the day shots and posts, because as much as this is for me to see what i looked like and what i was wearing in a few years to come, i would like, when people visit my blog..that they can get an idea of what kind of person i am as well, so I'm not only doing a Outfit of the day post but I'm also putting some of my personality into the post too.

The outfit in this post, was basic and very simple yet i thought it was quite effective to what i wanted to pull off, Its the middle of October, i was freezing and these photos were taken up on a hillside overlooking the Angel of the North in Newcastle, we then headed on down to the beach in this weather, so i wanted something i could be warm in but also comfortable.
The jumper was a new one and i LOVE it, like not love it, but I'm literally IN LOVE with it. It might not look like much in the photos, but its amazing and was such a bargain, they had other colours too, but i decided that a nice bright red one was just perfect for the Autumn months. I'm also wearing a t-shirt underneath the jumper just for that added warmth but its nothing big, in fact its a £3 long sleeved shirt from Primark. The skinny jeans are a dark teal green and they are beyond warm, because the material isn't exactly Denim, its a little more stretchy then Denim, and my boots are just an old pair, like really old from about a year ago, but again they did the job of keeping my toes nice and warm. :)

Jumper - Market stall. £5
Skinnies - Market stall. £10
Boots - Market stall. £15

From the photos you can kinda see that i find the whole "posing" so very odd, but i thought this outfit was so cute i had to get it up.

What have you been wearing lately? Whats one piece of clothing your wardrobe must have in the Autumn months?

Liebster Award.

Helloo, while i was away in Newcastle on my mini break i got nominated for a "Liebster Award" by Jenn from Hello, Guten Tag. I really enjoy reading Jenn's blog, not only does she have a similar job to me, where she works with the little kiddies, so i can totally relate to some of her posts, but she lives in Canada, and so its so nice to have posts with different perspectives and different tastes to just here in the United Kingdom.
The Liebster Award is giving to new bloggers by bloggers. It's a way to acknowledge each other and to say "you're doing a great job." It is for blogs with 200 or less followers, so its a great way to spread the word about other blogs and get them more acknowledgement.

When you receive the award, you post 11 random facts about yourself and answer 11 questions from the person(s) who nominated you. You pass the award to 11 other blogs (make sure that you tell them you nominated them) and ask them 11 questions. You're not allowed the nominate the blog(s) who nominate you. (To get the button, right click the picture on my page and save the picture to your computer. You can then upload the picture to your blog.)

So, here we go with my 11 random facts..
1. I was born in Portugal, lived in France for a while and grew up in England which is where I'm currently living.
2. I have a bad "biting my nail" habit, that I've had it since i was old enough to chew and i also hate it.
3. I am a BIG Harry Potter fan, as in.. read the books, seen the film, done the tour, and all the jazz in between.
4. I love stand up comedy, i think Lee Evans and Michael Mcintyre are 2 of the funniest people I've heard before, they make me cry tears of laughter.
5. I'm very loud, opinionated and I'm very direct, i will tell it how it is.
6. I have the biggest crush on Enrique Iglesias and i want to bore his children.
7. My mother isn't around anymore as she moved back home to Portugal, i don't really speak to her.
8. I have had 3 other blogs apart from this one.
9. I think Jennifer Lopez is one hot Latina mama, she is just beautiful.
10. I wish i did more baking in my free time, (Might have to take it up as a hobby).
11. I get really nervous when people ask me to to do guest blog posts on their blogs because i always feel like i might let them down with it, i hate pressure.

Now to answer the 11 questions by Jenn.

1. What is your favourite TV show?
This changes depending on the time of year, i loved watching LOST, and FRIENDS, but at the moment I'm enjoying Arrow, The walking dead and Strictly come dancing which is on here in the UK.

2.  What is your favourite book?
This question is IMPOSSIBLE for me to answer as I'm the biggest book nerd there possibly is, i love reading and always have a book on the go, at the moment I'm enjoying books by Harlan Coben..but i loved reading The Help recently (i also did a book review about it on the blog).

3. Do you have any kids, if not do you want any?
No i don't have any, and yes i most defiantly do want some, when the time is right and i feel that i am financially better off to support them then yes. I also cant wait for that day! :D

4. What is your favourite blog?
Again this question is like the book one, i follow and read far too many blogs to pick just one but I'm going to pin down 3 that i really enjoy going to.

5. What is your favourite drink?
A bit boring i think, but i love my Coke a Cola. :)

6. If you could be on any TV reality show which would it be?
I hate the reality shows that we have over here in the UK, i would love to have been a part of Jersey Shore as i love that show even if it is a little over the top, and I'm counting it as a reality TV show regardless, over here we have Geordie Shore which is supposed to be the version of that..its funny, but i would NOT have liked to have been in it.

7. Your favourite song at the moment?
At the moment, my favourite song is One Day by Matisyahu, kinda old but I'm still loving it. Although this changes every day!

8. What is your favourite thing about blogging?
I love the freedom i have with my blog, it literally is my little place on the net that i can rant, rave and generally talk rubbish on, i love that in years to come i will have something that i can look back on and giggle about what i was loving and hating in my early 20's.

9. Do you have any weird hidden talents?
Urm, not weird i don't think, i can play the piano but only The wedding march song, that being the song most people walk down the aisle to get married to. LOL

10. Are you going to dress up for Halloween?
Well Halloween is already over but yes i dressed up as an Dark Angel, (i did a post on it just below :P)

11. Whats the one thing you must always have on you?
Apart from my phone that literally comes everywhere with me, probably a lipstick of some sort, so i can brighten up  my lips with a splash of colour. :D

Time now for my 11 questions to my nominees..
1. Whats your dream job?
2. Whats one blogging tip you can give to people just starting out making their own blog?
3. If you could go to any country in the entire world, where would you go?
4. Whats one piece of advice you have been given that you carry around with you always?
5. Who's your favourite actor and actress and why?
6. Can you tell me a fond memory of when you were growing up, it could be anything?
7. If it was your last day on earth what would you want to do with it?
8. What do you love about your family?
9. What do you think is the greatest invention in life?
10. What would you like to be remembered for when your gone?
11. If you could tell one person one thing, you have always wished to, who would you tell and what would you tell them?

And now finally its time to nominate 11 blogs i think deserve this award too..
Andddd the nominees are..
1. Sarah @ Clothes Drawer
2. Sarah @ The Purse Snatcher
3. Jayde @ Badromancejayde
4. Rachel @ Along the way with Rae
6. Marta @ Everyday Vogue
7. Rebekah @ It's kind of lovely
8. Sarah @ Life as a wallflower

Thank you once again to Jenn, i had so much fun filling this in as well as being creative in coming up with my own ideas for questions, and i discovered so many new blogs, from reading other peoples Liebster Award posts.

Hope your all doing well.

My Halloween look..

Hello all,
Ive had the busiest 2 weeks ever, at work it was the last 2 weeks before the half term, and we also started a new topic, so we had a lot of things to do, parties to attend and displays going up, we also had the Halloween disco which was just so much fun with the work girlies. I sorta had to push the blog to the back and do what i needed to do work wise before i could fully focus on it. I'm on half term now, and therefore have a bit more free time on my hands in order to post a little more regularly and I've also got a few posts already lined up which I'm super excited about. I have also been nominated for a Liebster Award which i am going to dedicate a whole post too, and I'm super excited about it, so thanks to Jenn from Hello Guten Tag.

So last week Friday was the spooky disco at work, the kids were dressed up and so some of the staff got in on it and dressed up too.. i of course, had to take this chance to get involved and dress up, as i LOVE it. I went as a Dark Angel after doing a post on it here a couple of weeks back and the feedback i got was more in favour of that costume, so that's what i went as.
My outfit and my face before the make up was applied, i actually had black lipstick on and white face paint all over my face, my friend applied so much face paint I'm not sure if i looked like a Dark Angel or a Holy Ghost. LOL

I did however have a blast with the children as well as my co-workers, we did loads of "Gangnam Style" and it was so funny to see how much of the dance the kids actually remembered. It was a brilliant night filled with dancing, singing, food, and loads of scares along the way.
Outfit including wings - Matalan - £14
Tights - Asda - £3
Mask - Tesco - £1
Spider hairband - Asda - £3
Bat earrings - Asda - £2

What did you guys get up to this Halloween? If you guys have done any dress up posts, i would love to see!
Leave me your link below for me to check it out.

KIKO Soft Touch Blush in shade 108 - Review

Hellooo all,
A quick blush review post today, it seems I've been doing lots of reviews lately, but when i buy a load of make up products in one go, i like to test them and then review them, so I'm not even sorry! LOL i will however be doing a slight update post and such very soon.

Right, continuing on from my KIKO purchases, this soft touch blush in shade 108. Its a soft pink, that blends onto the skin very nicely, and leaves a satin look on the cheeks.

The packaging is another winner with me, as its sturdy and simple but yet, pretty looking too. Theres a compact mirror with the blusher so its good for when you carry it around with you inn your handbag, if your anything like me and it seems very durable.

The feel of this blusher actually on the skin is quiet nice, it feels light but yet the colour is very pigmented so a little bit on the brush is enough as it will show through a lot.

This blusher is long lasting as i can apply it around 7am and then head off to work, and when i go to take my make up off at around 8pm-9pm its still there and showing through, even after a long day of working with kids in reception, which i think is a really long time for a blusher to last (for me personally anyway).

Rating for package: 7/10
Rating for feeling on skin: 7/10
Rating for pigmentation: 7/10
Rating for Long lasting: 8/10
Rating for overall product: 7/10

Have you tried any of the KIKO blushers?
Whats your favourite blush to use?

KIKO Pencil lip gloss number 12 - Review and Swatches

Hello all,
I hope you've all had a lovely weekend, I've got another lipstick post to do, another lipstick that i brought on my little shopping trip to KIKO, and another lipstick i cant seem to put down at the moment. (Like all my other lippies).

The KIKO lip gloss pencil in number 12.
Even though it says lip gloss on the packaging, it glides on and feels more like a lipstick on the lips then a gloss. It has the shine effect which makes its it a little glossy, but the colour on the lips is gorgeous and after a while the gloss dies down and your left with the amazing colour.

The shade number 12, is a dark purple, slightly plum colour, and i think its brilliant for the Autumn months coming up, its very pigmented and this colour actually lasts a really long time on my lips. I ate, and drank and it stayed and lasted.

I'm not even sure that these 2 photos do the actual colour any justice, but i wanted to get close ups of it, in photo one, it shows a little of the gloss it provides when first applied but in the second it shows how the colour develops and the gloss fades after 10 minutes or so on the lips.

This lipstick is perfect for the Autumn months and is one that i cant put down already, it will for sure be one that I'm constantly picking up throughout Autumn, the shade is so beautiful and it feels so soft and moisturising when applied.

Rating for packaging: 7/10
Rating for colour: 9/10
Rating for long-lasting: 7/10
Rating for pigmentation: 8/10
Rating for overall lipstick:8/9

What lipsticks are you loving at the moment?

KIKO Wine Red 388 - Swatches & Review

Hello all,
I brought some new makeup goodies and i felt like i needed to share,

First up is this gorgeous lipstick  from KIKO. I love their lipstick selection as you always have lots to choose from, such as matte, creamy, moisturising or sheen lipsticks etc. There's always something for everyone!

I picked up a creamy one numbered 388.  This KIKO lipstick didn't state a name like some others that I've picked up from them, but after doing some research I'm told this colour is called "Wine Red". The packaging is quiet simple and plain black with white font.

The shade is just as described in the name "Wine Red", this shade is a deep mauve or a dark mauve shade, the colour looks amazing but its nothing compared to what it looks like on the actual lips. The lipstick itself is very creamy and defiantly moisturising, the only downside i can see is, that it doesn't last long depending on weather your eating or not, with it being so creamy it can smudge off easily.

Overall, i think this lipstick is beautiful, i love the feel of it on my lips and i love the look of it on too, I've gotten so many compliments on it, and for the price and brand KIKO, its not a bad lipstick at all.

Rating for packaging: 5/10
Rating for colour: 6/10
Rating for long-lasting: 6/10
Rating for pigmentation: 7/10
Rating for overall lipstick: 7/10

Have you tried any KIKO lipsticks?!

Halloween Help?!

VELCOMEE,
I'm a HUGE Halloween fan (if you don't know me already), i really wish that here in the United Kingdom we celebrated Halloween as much as the United States do..You guys know how to do it BIG style, where as here, well.. we don't even like to open the door to the kiddies asits usually just gangs, and we get told NOT to knock on peoples door and ask for candy, as it could be dangerous! :/ This year however at work we are having a "Spooky Disco" and even though its only a couple of hours and its in the school and the majority of people there will be little kiddies, i have asked to be part of the organising committee as well as a little chaperon. I am excited for this, but i still need to find out some more information, like "am i allowed to dress up for it too"?! etc.

In the meantime, (in case the answer is "YES, of course, we expect it") i have started looking for a Halloween outfit that i can rock up with, I've come up with 3 that i liked when i saw them?

Number 1: Vampiress. I  liked this one, i wasn't IN LOVE with it, and I'm still not, its okay, but for me nothing too special.
Number 2: Evil Queen. I quite like this one, its one of my faves and one that I'm having a very hard choice between.

Number 3: Dark Angel. This was my favourite, without doubt until i saw number 2, then i got stuck.. and well now i have no idea?!

ANY SUGGESTIONS?!
All outfits can be found in Matalan.

So you see, i do not have an easy choice to make, i will however NOT wear the wigs, there's something about the wigs that are a little off putting to me!

Which outfit would you choose to wear?!

THANKING YOU IN ZE ADVANCE MY PRETTIES...

KIKO Make Up remover review

Hello all,
KIKO have been a brand that i have brought a few products from before, their nail polishes as well as their lipsticks all appeal to me because of the variety of shades they stock. The first time i entered the shop, the sales assistant was kind enough to show me some bits around and explain all about KIKO as a brand as i had never heard of it before, she also showed me one of their most popular products, their Make up remover. She swatched loads of different make up pieces on my arm and hand, from eyeshadows, lipsticks, lips glosses, foundation, eye liner and even mascara, then using a cotton pad she plopped a small amount of the remover on it and in 2 instant strokes my arm and hand was clear! Of course this shocked me, as sometimes removing mascara for me is a nightmare (if like me, you like lots of coats on top of one another..panda eyes happens alot). What shocked me was the force in which she used to sweep it across my hand and arm, hardly any. So i asked her to explain a little more about it.

She went on to tell me that its a 2 layer product, as you can see from the photo above, theres the blue liquid and then a clear liquid, she advised that you shake the bottle before using it and as you do both mixtures mix together into one. I have very oily skin, especially my T-zone, so my first questions was"Is it good for my skin type and is it an oily formula?" she told me the clear mixture you see is an oily formula, but she told me once i mixed it together i wouldn't be able to feel very much oil on the skin and she told me to try it out, and see how i felt after. Normally i would NOT buy this product, i have oily skin i don't need an oily product to add to my already growing problem, but after seeing the effects of it earlier on my hand and arm i thought why not. So i brought one and took it home to try.

When mixed together, and then plopped onto the cotton pad, it was just a blue mixture that poured out, i could instantly feel the oily-ness, but none the less i brought it, therefore i must try it. My biggest fear for more than anything was "What if I'm allergic? or what if it breaks me out all over?"

I needn't have worried, a few swift motions and the clear cotton pad turned disgustingly dirty with the contents of my face, and my face was left feeling, a little oily (BUT, and i must stress this, the oily feeling lasted about 5 minutes, if even that) then my face returned to the normal dewy feeling i have. My face was fully clear, even after i did have 3 coats of mascara and black eyeliner on. What i do recommend is that after you have done that to make sure you cleanse your skin, (Which I'm sure all of you do anyway) just to make sure your face is fully dirt and make up free before bed!

My face didn't break out into anything, i didn't have an allergic reaction to anything, my face felt clean and fresh, the oily feeling leaving me after 5 minutes and best of all i had found a make up remover that doesn't even require that much force or effort to remove even the hardest of make up. (Yes, I'm aware I'm just being lazy.. LOL)

Would i recommend this? Yes. I'm on my 3rd bottle already! :) I don't know if it will work for all skin types, but i know it works for me, and i know i was brought on a sales assistant removing make up from my hand and arm but I'm so glad i did purchase it.

If you want to try it, head on over to KIKO online and see if it works for you too.

Have you tried any KIKO products? what make up remover do you swear by?!

17 Beehive - Swatches and Review

17 - Beehive.
A beautiful nude lipstick that applies onto the lips evenly and smoothly, When i first saw this shade in Boots and i swatched it, i fell in love with the colour, it was almost like a gloss, and was a pretty nude/pink shade. Perfect, i couldn't wait to get it home and wear it. On the lips it looks almost natural like your own lip colour but with a slight shine, however, the more i wore it the more i fell in love. Here we are a few weeks down the line, and its one of my most reached for lipsticks in the mornings as well as one of my favourite nudes of all time! :)

Swatched on the hand.
A pink/nude glossy look to it.

Once applied to the lips.

This lipstick isn't drying, or matte, in fact i would say its quiet moisturising on the actual lips, it lasts for long periods of time, where i apply once and don't have to reapply till the afternoon. The pigmentation on this lipstick is noticeable but maybe not as strong as say a lipstick from Sleek!

Rating for packaging: 5/10
Rating for colour: 7/10
Rating for long-lasting: 7/10
Rating for pigmentation: 6/10
Rating for overall lipstick: 8/10

I would defiantly recommend you get this lipstick, once again 17 don't disappoint with their colours or their quality. One of my must haves in any make up collection, the perfect nude!

Have you tried this lipstick? did you like it? or have you got any other favourite nudes you think i should try!?

My Mini Wishlist.

Helloooo,
OMG O_o
Firstly, whats up with this new blogger, i can not get my head round it, people keep telling me i will adjust and get used to it, but here's the thing, I'm a freak when i have something set in stone and then people up and change it, i mean, look at Facebook, they changed it to time line and i hardly go on there anymore, WHY change something if it isn't broken?! urgh. Secondly Twitter has also decided to change and they now include the option for a header, (Sounds very familiar to another networking website i hardly use any longer..) hmm? but i cant complain much, i too have already joined the bandwagon and uploaded a brand new header to my Twitter page..

Now on to the important thing, My Mini Wishlist.. (trying to write that word i just wrote Wishlift..have no idea why i thought i would include that in this post, i guess i giggled to myself, so thought you may too) LOL. Anyway, its just a mini wishlist as after all I'm trying very hard to save for a new house with Danny..

Forever 21: This necklace is just gorgeous and the extra large hoops just make me smile! :)
H&M: This bracelet is so cute and comes in a variety of colours, I'm in love with the gold, but at the price i may be tempted to get all the colours! :)
Boohoo: These boots are AMAZING..there is hardly any words, I'm in love and have already planned so many outfits to wear them with! :)
Matalan: My new work mates have told me that there is a Christmas party and that i MUST attend, so i have started looking for a nice outfit for this Christmas party, this dress is cute and classy without shouting "Look at me, look at me" especially as I'm the newbie, i don't want more attention on me! :) (Sneaky fact, I'm planning on wearing this dress with those boots, haha, i love Autumn)
Ebay: I have been lusting after this retro Casio watch, since i first saw it in Camden and didn't buy it, something i regretted straight away.. but now its part of my Wishlist, this watch will belong to me! :) I kinda want 2, one in silver and one in gold! :D

There you have it, My Wishlist, whats on yours? what are you just lusting after?
Leave me your links if you have done a post similar to this! :) I would love to check it out.
