An Outfit of the day ft some Flares

Hello you little beauts,

As its now officially Spring, and this means its one step closer to my favourite season, i thought i would do a little outfit of the day.

On Saturday whilst trying to pick out my outfit for the day i came across some flare trousers i had long since forgotten i even owned them. I was thrilled to have found them buried way to the back of all my clothes, i bought them a little over a year ago, and to be honest they don't get as much wear as they should. They were also a steal at about £5 from the Forever 21 sale that was happening at the time!!

My jumper is a white woolly one from Primark, although i bought in Portugal about a month ago, and all the Primarks I've gone into over here in the UK don't seem to stock the same one! I absolutely love this jumper, its the perfect light weight piece you need for the Spring weather we have been having!

The hat is from Forever 21 too, and the second i saw it i fell in love, its not a floppy hat as such its more a wide rimmed Fedora. I love to wear this when the sun is shining but there isn't the hotness of the summer just yet!

My boots are a new pair of favourites and i bought them while i was on my week holiday to Portugal, with these trousers i feel like you need a good pair of heels, flats just wont have the same effort, so these were just the obvious option for me.

Finally i have my trusty black leather jacket, that i tend not to leave the house without and also my long shoulder slouch bag which again is a firm favourite of mine, as the bag itself isn't too big for everything to get lost in but its not too small that you don't have space for all your bits. This bag was a gift from my auntie in the summer, and i am yet to put it down! :)

So there you have my little outfit, i really liked it, and felt so comfortable through out the day, so i was so super glad i found those hidden gems of flare trousers, or i would not have been inspired for this outfit!

Do you guys like flares? or own any pairs? (ha, yes, i just rhymed that, and noticed it and then spoke of it!)

Hope your all having a lovely weekend!
Don't forget to follow me on..

Sometimes, i like being a tramp ; Outfit of the day

Jumper - Men's Primark // Trousers - H&M // Denim Shirt - H&M

Lets start this outfit off by saying, I'm not wearing any shoes, and I'm outside, i know, i know, How trampy of me.. but i was calmly sitting in my house when my sister came home from college with her gorgeous friend Maria, (Who also blogs over at MissCheerful) If you get a chance to, go and check out her blog, as she is fairly new and I'm so proud of her content so far! :)

Anyway, so Maria came over and said "oh wow, today your dressed so much like Spencer from Pretty Little Liars". I automatically got really excited and happy, if you know me at all, you may know I'm slightly obsessed with anything Pretty Little Liars related and being told that my style for the day was similar to Spencer, when that wasn't even the effect i was going for, made me really happy. I quickly asked Maria to snap some shots of the outfit, and these are those. Therefore i have no shoes on, but lets just be honest, I'm just trampy and didn't feel like wearing shoes ;)

I bough this jumper a few weeks ago from the Men's section in Primark, and i have to say its quickly becoming one of my favourite Autumn pieces to wear, I love the feel, especially for these frosty mornings we have been getting in London, i love how snugly it is, and I'm obsessed with the colour.
There's just something about men's jumpers and men's clothes in general, that just feel so nice and cosy, which is perfect for the colder months.

The trousers, are a pair i bought from H&M a while back, before summer officially started and i bought them in the sale fro a mare £3, i was so chuffed. They are high waisted and end just above the ankle, so a little crop. I love the blue pattern, which in these photos isn't as vibrant as it is in real life, but it still looks amaze. These trousers were perfect for the summer months because of the cut and the colour, now I'm trying to find ways to wear them in the winter months, and i think teamed with a pair of heels, that they will be amazing for a night time look. Which means these trousers are very versatile, which is something i love.

To finish the outfit I'm just wearing a denim shirt under the jumper which is also H&M. (Don't they have some amazing pieces in at the moment?) i also, had my gold chain necklace on to finish off this outfit, but i took that off as soon as i got in the house therefore it isn't present in these photos!

I'm now on the hunt for more patterned trousers similar to these, have you guys seen any about anywhere?
What do you think of my outfit?

Outfit of the day - A little Pocahontas

Hello all,

I hope you have been enjoying the weekend so far. Here in London we have had bouts of sunny weather mixed in with some topical storm weather, a few lightening bolts and some thunder and rain, oh yeah we love London weather -__-

Either way, on Friday i woke up and felt like it was a dress day, so i put on my favourite day dress and jazzed it up a little by wearing some of my boots instead of my normal sandals, and i was good to go, but the thing is, i got quite a few compliments through the day to say they liked it paired together or that i looked like Pocahontas, (which is one of my favourite Disney Princesses, just in case you were unaware). So with all the lovely compliments i got, i thought the outfit was worthy of an OOTD post! So here we are.
My dress is one of my favourites that i bought to rock between the months of Spring and Summer but due to the bad weather London had, it didn't see much sunlight, and my boots were something i was EXTREMELY happy to purchase, and i almost wish i had bought a few more in case these get ruined! They even have eagle wings on the back so it reminds me even more of Pocahontas! :)

My whole outfit was so basic and simple, all very neutral colours and yet it drew alot of peoples attention, so i thought why not post about it. Even my make up was very minimal, as i was only going food shopping but to be fair, it was one of my favourite outfits that i have worn during this Summer month so far!

Dress - TK MAXX
Boots - ALDO

What do you think of my outfit?
What have you been wearing lately!?

Outfit of the day 14.04.13

(sorry if the photos lack focus. i hate photos with no focus, but alas, what can i do.. its all i got.)
Hello all,
The sun has decided to finally show its face, and that means two things, one..Lighter clothes can be worn (which by the way i have totally forgotten how to dress for sunshine weather) and two..Great lighting for photos which means, Outfits of the day can be done!

So Sunday, it was gorgeous weather here in the capital London, i wouldn't say scorching hot as maybe the Mediterranean but it was better then what England has seen in the last few months. So i plucked out my old maxi skirt, and since this whole monochrome trend is about, i found my simple stripy t-shirt and wore that tucked in, then to make the outfit have a little more edge i threw on my denim waistcoat shirt, added my cute pink bow to my head and finished off with some black ballet pumps. Not to forget one of my favourite pieces of jewellery at the moment, my dream catcher feather earrings, totally in love. It was such a simple outfit but i felt like it was perfect for the weather we were receiving and it was so comfortable to be in as well.

Pink Head Bow - Matalan £3
Denim Waistcoat Shirt - HnM £12 (old)
Black and White Stripy T-shirt - Primark £3/4
Black Maxi Skirt - Market stall £10
Black Ballet Pumps - Primark £4/5 (old)
Dream Catcher Feather Earrings - Primark £3/4
What have you been wearing lately, now the weather is slowly improving? and from the looks of these photos, if the weather continues and more flesh is to be on show now, i defiantly need to book myself in for a spray tan until i can build up enough natural tan! (I hate being pale..)

Outfit of the day in Newcastle

Hello my gorgeous readers,
As some of you may know, i went away to Newcastle last week during the half term and i managed to get ONE, yes ONE, outfit of the day snap..
So i thought i would dedicate a WHOLE blog post to it, (because thats what you do right?)

First things first..
I tend to think doing Outfit of the day posts are a really nice way to see how certain people mix and match their outfits and their style, i love to see what clothes other people are wearing and if i would like to buy them too, BUT i do find a lot of things AWKWRD about Outfit of the day posts. I find actually taking part in them a little scary, I mean i do, do them, of course..like this one, right now, but the whole "posing" to show off your outfit does not come naturally to me, and its even more daunting if your doing the photo shoot (so to speak) in a public space with people staring at you wondering why your taking a close up shot of your footwear etc!? awkward..

Here's what i find awkward:
1. Posing, in general.. how should i stand?, arms by my side? hand on hip? Feet apart? feet together? maybe feet over crossing each other? either way the whole "posing" looks and feels weird.

2. Finding the perfect back drop to your photo. Are you going for grungy? maybe chic? elegant and classy? either way you have to find the perfect backdrop to match with your style and taste. Will you have people in your background therefore making it a busy photo maybe like a shot in Oxford Street in London or will you go for a slightly quieter shot like down a country lane?

3. The actual outfit. Are there key pieces you want to show off from the outfit, like for instance your new jumper which you think the whole world and it's mother should know about it, or is it a whole outfit kinda post. This will bring me on to part 4.

4. How will you go on to explain the clothes, "I brought it here and here for this price, it feels fluffy and keeps me warm, love the colour and would recommend it as it was a bargain", or will you opt for the "it was brought here, it was brought here and it was brought here" mode. Basically will you go into details about how the clothes feels on you, and what fabric its made from etc, or will you just name the shops where you brought the clothes from.

5. Photo heavy spam.. How many photos is too many photos, when does it go from showing off an outfit to just being a pure spam post. Also from what angle will the photos be taken, do you want close up shots or are you going to opt for full body shots etc.

As you can see, there are always a few things that i take into account and consider when doing Outfit of the day shots and posts, because as much as this is for me to see what i looked like and what i was wearing in a few years to come, i would like, when people visit my blog..that they can get an idea of what kind of person i am as well, so I'm not only doing a Outfit of the day post but I'm also putting some of my personality into the post too.

The outfit in this post, was basic and very simple yet i thought it was quite effective to what i wanted to pull off, Its the middle of October, i was freezing and these photos were taken up on a hillside overlooking the Angel of the North in Newcastle, we then headed on down to the beach in this weather, so i wanted something i could be warm in but also comfortable.
The jumper was a new one and i LOVE it, like not love it, but I'm literally IN LOVE with it. It might not look like much in the photos, but its amazing and was such a bargain, they had other colours too, but i decided that a nice bright red one was just perfect for the Autumn months. I'm also wearing a t-shirt underneath the jumper just for that added warmth but its nothing big, in fact its a £3 long sleeved shirt from Primark. The skinny jeans are a dark teal green and they are beyond warm, because the material isn't exactly Denim, its a little more stretchy then Denim, and my boots are just an old pair, like really old from about a year ago, but again they did the job of keeping my toes nice and warm. :)

Jumper - Market stall. £5
Skinnies - Market stall. £10
Boots - Market stall. £15

From the photos you can kinda see that i find the whole "posing" so very odd, but i thought this outfit was so cute i had to get it up.

What have you been wearing lately? Whats one piece of clothing your wardrobe must have in the Autumn months?

An outfit of the day

Hello,my dears,
A simple basic outfit of the day..

I love my skirt.. i love the material, i love the shape, i love the colour, i love the length..there is NOTHING about this skirt that i don't love. My new backpack is also another firm favourite of mine, i think I've worn it all week, with whatever outfit I've got on, and the white lace top is actually a dress, but i prefer to wear it as a top as i think its soo short on me as a dress and i don't feel comfortable bending down while wearing it. I wore this outfit to work, and I'm quiet impressed that i came out of there STILL clean, since i work with kiddies! I liked the outfit so much i then went on to wear it on the weekend, minus the tights as it became hotter as the weekend approached.

Shoes - Primark
Tights - Primark
Skirt - Pull and Bear
Dress Top - Market stall
Backpack - Primark

What have you guys been wearing lately?
Have you done any outfit posts, id love to check them out!
