KIKO Soft Touch Blush in shade 108 - Review

Hellooo all,
A quick blush review post today, it seems I've been doing lots of reviews lately, but when i buy a load of make up products in one go, i like to test them and then review them, so I'm not even sorry! LOL i will however be doing a slight update post and such very soon.

Right, continuing on from my KIKO purchases, this soft touch blush in shade 108. Its a soft pink, that blends onto the skin very nicely, and leaves a satin look on the cheeks.

The packaging is another winner with me, as its sturdy and simple but yet, pretty looking too. Theres a compact mirror with the blusher so its good for when you carry it around with you inn your handbag, if your anything like me and it seems very durable.

The feel of this blusher actually on the skin is quiet nice, it feels light but yet the colour is very pigmented so a little bit on the brush is enough as it will show through a lot.

This blusher is long lasting as i can apply it around 7am and then head off to work, and when i go to take my make up off at around 8pm-9pm its still there and showing through, even after a long day of working with kids in reception, which i think is a really long time for a blusher to last (for me personally anyway).

Rating for pigmentation: 7/10

KIKO Pencil lip gloss number 12 - Review and Swatches

Hello all,
I hope you've all had a lovely weekend, I've got another lipstick post to do, another lipstick that i brought on my little shopping trip to KIKO, and another lipstick i cant seem to put down at the moment. (Like all my other lippies).

The KIKO lip gloss pencil in number 12.
Even though it says lip gloss on the packaging, it glides on and feels more like a lipstick on the lips then a gloss. It has the shine effect which makes its it a little glossy, but the colour on the lips is gorgeous and after a while the gloss dies down and your left with the amazing colour.

The shade number 12, is a dark purple, slightly plum colour, and i think its brilliant for the Autumn months coming up, its very pigmented and this colour actually lasts a really long time on my lips. I ate, and drank and it stayed and lasted.

I'm not even sure that these 2 photos do the actual colour any justice, but i wanted to get close ups of it, in photo one, it shows a little of the gloss it provides when first applied but in the second it shows how the colour develops and the gloss fades after 10 minutes or so on the lips.

This lipstick is perfect for the Autumn months and is one that i cant put down already, it will for sure be one that I'm constantly picking up throughout Autumn, the shade is so beautiful and it feels so soft and moisturising when applied.

Rating for packaging: 7/10
Rating for colour: 9/10
Rating for long-lasting: 7/10
Rating for pigmentation: 8/10
Rating for overall lipstick:8/9

What lipsticks are you loving at the moment?

KIKO Wine Red 388 - Swatches & Review

Hello all,
I brought some new makeup goodies and i felt like i needed to share,

First up is this gorgeous lipstick  from KIKO. I love their lipstick selection as you always have lots to choose from, such as matte, creamy, moisturising or sheen lipsticks etc. There's always something for everyone!

I picked up a creamy one numbered 388.  This KIKO lipstick didn't state a name like some others that I've picked up from them, but after doing some research I'm told this colour is called "Wine Red". The packaging is quiet simple and plain black with white font.

The shade is just as described in the name "Wine Red", this shade is a deep mauve or a dark mauve shade, the colour looks amazing but its nothing compared to what it looks like on the actual lips. The lipstick itself is very creamy and defiantly moisturising, the only downside i can see is, that it doesn't last long depending on weather your eating or not, with it being so creamy it can smudge off easily.

Overall, i think this lipstick is beautiful, i love the feel of it on my lips and i love the look of it on too, I've gotten so many compliments on it, and for the price and brand KIKO, its not a bad lipstick at all.

Rating for packaging: 5/10
Rating for colour: 6/10
Rating for long-lasting: 6/10
Rating for pigmentation: 7/10
Rating for overall lipstick: 7/10

Have you tried any KIKO lipsticks?!

Halloween Help?!

VELCOMEE,
I'm a HUGE Halloween fan (if you don't know me already), i really wish that here in the United Kingdom we celebrated Halloween as much as the United States do..You guys know how to do it BIG style, where as here, well.. we don't even like to open the door to the kiddies asits usually just gangs, and we get told NOT to knock on peoples door and ask for candy, as it could be dangerous! :/ This year however at work we are having a "Spooky Disco" and even though its only a couple of hours and its in the school and the majority of people there will be little kiddies, i have asked to be part of the organising committee as well as a little chaperon. I am excited for this, but i still need to find out some more information, like "am i allowed to dress up for it too"?! etc.

In the meantime, (in case the answer is "YES, of course, we expect it") i have started looking for a Halloween outfit that i can rock up with, I've come up with 3 that i liked when i saw them?

Number 1: Vampiress. I  liked this one, i wasn't IN LOVE with it, and I'm still not, its okay, but for me nothing too special.
Number 2: Evil Queen. I quite like this one, its one of my faves and one that I'm having a very hard choice between.

Number 3: Dark Angel. This was my favourite, without doubt until i saw number 2, then i got stuck.. and well now i have no idea?!

ANY SUGGESTIONS?!
All outfits can be found in Matalan.

So you see, i do not have an easy choice to make, i will however NOT wear the wigs, there's something about the wigs that are a little off putting to me!

Which outfit would you choose to wear?!

THANKING YOU IN ZE ADVANCE MY PRETTIES...

KIKO Make Up remover review

Hello all,
KIKO have been a brand that i have brought a few products from before, their nail polishes as well as their lipsticks all appeal to me because of the variety of shades they stock. The first time i entered the shop, the sales assistant was kind enough to show me some bits around and explain all about KIKO as a brand as i had never heard of it before, she also showed me one of their most popular products, their Make up remover. She swatched loads of different make up pieces on my arm and hand, from eyeshadows, lipsticks, lips glosses, foundation, eye liner and even mascara, then using a cotton pad she plopped a small amount of the remover on it and in 2 instant strokes my arm and hand was clear! Of course this shocked me, as sometimes removing mascara for me is a nightmare (if like me, you like lots of coats on top of one another..panda eyes happens alot). What shocked me was the force in which she used to sweep it across my hand and arm, hardly any. So i asked her to explain a little more about it.

She went on to tell me that its a 2 layer product, as you can see from the photo above, theres the blue liquid and then a clear liquid, she advised that you shake the bottle before using it and as you do both mixtures mix together into one. I have very oily skin, especially my T-zone, so my first questions was"Is it good for my skin type and is it an oily formula?" she told me the clear mixture you see is an oily formula, but she told me once i mixed it together i wouldn't be able to feel very much oil on the skin and she told me to try it out, and see how i felt after. Normally i would NOT buy this product, i have oily skin i don't need an oily product to add to my already growing problem, but after seeing the effects of it earlier on my hand and arm i thought why not. So i brought one and took it home to try.

When mixed together, and then plopped onto the cotton pad, it was just a blue mixture that poured out, i could instantly feel the oily-ness, but none the less i brought it, therefore i must try it. My biggest fear for more than anything was "What if I'm allergic? or what if it breaks me out all over?"

I needn't have worried, a few swift motions and the clear cotton pad turned disgustingly dirty with the contents of my face, and my face was left feeling, a little oily (BUT, and i must stress this, the oily feeling lasted about 5 minutes, if even that) then my face returned to the normal dewy feeling i have. My face was fully clear, even after i did have 3 coats of mascara and black eyeliner on. What i do recommend is that after you have done that to make sure you cleanse your skin, (Which I'm sure all of you do anyway) just to make sure your face is fully dirt and make up free before bed!

My face didn't break out into anything, i didn't have an allergic reaction to anything, my face felt clean and fresh, the oily feeling leaving me after 5 minutes and best of all i had found a make up remover that doesn't even require that much force or effort to remove even the hardest of make up. (Yes, I'm aware I'm just being lazy.. LOL)

Would i recommend this? Yes. I'm on my 3rd bottle already! :) I don't know if it will work for all skin types, but i know it works for me, and i know i was brought on a sales assistant removing make up from my hand and arm but I'm so glad i did purchase it.

If you want to try it, head on over to KIKO online and see if it works for you too.

Have you tried any KIKO products? what make up remover do you swear by?!

17 Beehive - Swatches and Review

17 - Beehive.
A beautiful nude lipstick that applies onto the lips evenly and smoothly, When i first saw this shade in Boots and i swatched it, i fell in love with the colour, it was almost like a gloss, and was a pretty nude/pink shade. Perfect, i couldn't wait to get it home and wear it. On the lips it looks almost natural like your own lip colour but with a slight shine, however, the more i wore it the more i fell in love. Here we are a few weeks down the line, and its one of my most reached for lipsticks in the mornings as well as one of my favourite nudes of all time! :)

Swatched on the hand.
A pink/nude glossy look to it.

Once applied to the lips.

This lipstick isn't drying, or matte, in fact i would say its quiet moisturising on the actual lips, it lasts for long periods of time, where i apply once and don't have to reapply till the afternoon. The pigmentation on this lipstick is noticeable but maybe not as strong as say a lipstick from Sleek!

Rating for packaging: 5/10
Rating for colour: 7/10
Rating for long-lasting: 7/10
Rating for pigmentation: 6/10
Rating for overall lipstick: 8/10

I would defiantly recommend you get this lipstick, once again 17 don't disappoint with their colours or their quality. One of my must haves in any make up collection, the perfect nude!

Have you tried this lipstick? did you like it? or have you got any other favourite nudes you think i should try!?
