Academy Party Box Set Swatches

Hello Lovelies,

For Christmas i got some make up bits and bobs, and i thought i would do some swatches on them. I thought i would start with this little box set by Academy of Colour. I have never tried any of their products, so was really excited when i opened one of my presents and saw this inside. The front of the package excited me with all the bright shades and colours that you can see. 

I received the Party set which includes, one black eye liner, one blue eye liner, one black liquid liner as well as 14 different eye shadow shades. From the outer package i thought the eye shadows would be very bright colours and over the top rainbow type colours, that i didn't know if i would be able to pull of for an everyday look or even a party look, so i was little anxious about what was inside..

In actual fact the shades are all very beautiful, there are some neutrals, others with a little hint of colours like pink and purple, some are very pigmented, others not so much, and some have bits of shimmer and others none.

The eye liners look generally really good, the liquid liner is especially dark and thick which i love, this is perfect for night time looks. I do wish the pencil black eye liner was darker as i love my liner really DARK, but that's down to personal opinions.

There are some downsides to this box set, i would say, the fact the eye shadows are not named or numbered or anything, makes it hard, your left to figure out a shade colour name of your own, and this is always annoying.
It consist of me going, "I really like the peachy, pinky one, that's really pigmented but has no shimmer, do you know which one I'm talking about?" and it leaves people looking at me with that "I have no clue what she's talking about, so I'm just going to smile and nod" stare. Yeah, that one.
Also the brush is really rubbish, as is most brushes that come in box sets like this, but i plan on using one of my own brushes anyway.

Overall, im excited to start using this box set, as the swatches have impressed me, and there are some very nice shades on offer!

Halloween Help?!

VELCOMEE,
I'm a HUGE Halloween fan (if you don't know me already), i really wish that here in the United Kingdom we celebrated Halloween as much as the United States do..You guys know how to do it BIG style, where as here, well.. we don't even like to open the door to the kiddies asits usually just gangs, and we get told NOT to knock on peoples door and ask for candy, as it could be dangerous! :/ This year however at work we are having a "Spooky Disco" and even though its only a couple of hours and its in the school and the majority of people there will be little kiddies, i have asked to be part of the organising committee as well as a little chaperon. I am excited for this, but i still need to find out some more information, like "am i allowed to dress up for it too"?! etc.

In the meantime, (in case the answer is "YES, of course, we expect it") i have started looking for a Halloween outfit that i can rock up with, I've come up with 3 that i liked when i saw them?

Number 1: Vampiress. I  liked this one, i wasn't IN LOVE with it, and I'm still not, its okay, but for me nothing too special.
Number 2: Evil Queen. I quite like this one, its one of my faves and one that I'm having a very hard choice between.
Number 3: Dark Angel. This was my favourite, without doubt until i saw number 2, then i got stuck.. and well now i have no idea?!

ANY SUGGESTIONS?!

So you see, i do not have an easy choice to make, i will however NOT wear the wigs, there's something about the wigs that are a little off putting to me!
