What I learnt in 2016 & What I will be doing in 2017

Hello my lovelies,

With the new year only a few days away, I wanted to do a bit of a post where I could write about things I've learnt in 2016 and also what I hope to accomplish in 2017. Every year without a doubt I always come up with some sort of new year's resolutions which I hope I can try and stick in some way, but every year without a doubt I also, always come up with resolutions which are a little non specific and therefore non achievable. When this happens I feel let down with myself and a little unmotivated to even bother going on with the resolution.

Rome 2016

Hello all you lovely people,

I have just posted all about my summer holiday to Portugal but did you know I went away in October too? I can not wait to get this post up. October is a hard month for me, I love it as its Halloween and Autumn has officially kicked in and all I want to do in snuggle on the sofa under a blanket with hot chocolate but its also a hard time of year for me due to personal reasons. So at the beginning of the month I said to myself I HAVE to make this month amazing and not sit and dwell on things and with that said I booked a trip to one of my favourite European cities, (if not my favourite). I went back to Rome. Please prepare for a really photo heavy post... LOL, Grab a cuppa and enjoy..I'm not even sorry!

My holiday to the Algrave 2016

Hello my lovelies,

Don't you hate when life gets so hectic that there is no time to blog, and when you do finally get some time to sit and relax you end up falling asleep or procrastinating? always happens to me, hopefully I'm not alone here. So I have wanted to get some photos of my summer holiday to Portugal up for the longest time, and it's finally happening.. So expect a photo heavy post here..

I went to the Algarve with my sisters for 2 beautiful weeks, we stayed a short 5 minute walk from the beach in Olhos de Agua and we had a pool in the apartment grounds of Vista das ondas (I wrote a review of it here), so we didn't think we would ever really need to leave the area apart from maybe going to the different restaurants for dinner and the local shops or cafes for some extra nibbles and drinks to have in the apartment! Because wine at anytime of the night is always welcome?! haha

Creightons Shampoos and Conditioner reviews

Hello all, I have been meaning to do this post for the longest time, and now that I'm back from Rome I feel like I finally have some time to catch up on all blog related things.
In the summer I got sent some blogger mail from the lovely PR people over at Soapbox PR, in the mail it consisted of a travel styler which I wrote a review about here, but they also sent me some summer essentials, of different shampoos and conditioners. There were four different types, which consisted of 'Sunshine Blonde' & 'Beautiful Brunette' which were the same product just depending on your hair colour, then there was 'Keratine Pro Shampoo and Conditioner' and finally there was 'No More Frizz Shampoo and Conditioner'. All of them were from the brand Creighton's which can be bought in Tesco, Wilko and Primark among others.

The Amazing Primark Boots

Hello my beauties,
Today I'm coming to you with a little outfit post. I don't do these as often as I would like, for the simple fact of never having enough time, to one take the photos and two find backdrops which are chic enough for me. I also feel like my outfits are really not photo worthy the majority of the time and then throw in the fact that I get really awkward when its time to pose in front of the camera for an outfit shot. I mean is it just me that finds it hard to figure out how to stand? where should my hands go? What should my feet be doing etc?

Vista das ondas in Olhos da Agua (Portugal) Review

Hey guys,
I have been wanting to do this post for the longest time,  and yet I have had no time.. That seems to be the problem with me at the moment, I am struggling trying to find the balance between working full time and having a social life with friends and then you mix in blogging and its just becoming a little overwhelming for me. I need to get better at this multitasking malarkey.

So over the summer holiday I went back home to Portugal and I spent two weeks there with my little sisters and I wanted to write two posts on it and still haven't even written one, and we are now into autumn. The first post was a review of where we stayed, and the second was a little about what we got up to while out there.

Bloggers Festival by Scarlett London 2016

Hello my beauties,
Its been a hot minute, I hope everyone has been keeping well. September is always such a tricky month for me, summer is over, goodbye to the tans, the salty water, and the sand between your toes and hello to the first day back to school, the grey skies and the hectic mess that I call work. There is however one thing I always look forward to in the month of September and that is the Bloggers Festival. Which is hosted yearly by the wonderful Scarlett London, and this year was no different. I was excited about this event from as early as June.

Hello beautiful people, I am officially back from Portugal, and I am fully aware that the blog took a little bit of a back seat for the month of august as I was just so busy planning and organising the summer, but now that I am back, I am so excited to get right back into blogging, I have about 7 posts floating in my head that I need to get up at some point. So bare with me, there is loads of content coming up, make sure you keep checking back here to see what's new! :)

Todays post is all about this beautiful travel Straightener, that I was kindly sent by the lovely people at Soapbox PR, and it comes from the brand  Glamoriser.

24 hours in Lisbon

Hey there guys,

Have you ever been to a city as a stop over? or for a short period of time, maybe only for a few hours? Were you lost for things to see and do? or maybe you knew what you wanted to see and do but you weren't sure if there was enough hours in the day to cram it all in, or which things were actually worth even going to. Last year I had 24 hours in Lisbon, this is my homeland so I know it very well, I've done all of the tourist things and been to all the sights, I had 24 hours and I was with a friend, because of my knowledge of the city we were able to avoid queues, eat at great priced restaurants and not have to walk around aimlessly looking for the next beautiful sight to snap photos of. It got me thinking how a post on tips and tricks for someone who might only have a small amount of time in a city would be a great post, thus here we are with "24 hours in Lisbon" - What to see, Where to go, What to do and Where to eat too!

Guess what Portugal went and did?..

It's been around a month now and I am still in shock and I still find it hard to believe and I don't think it has sunk in properly yet, but Portugal are champions of Europe. We are the winners, like we actually won the cup! we did it, I just can't believe it...

For the longest time I have loved football. I know what you're thinking, is she for real? is she lying? did she get into it for a boyfriend? and does she even know the offside rule? The answer to those questions is yes, I'm for real, no I'm not lying, no I didn't get into it for a boyfriend and yes, the offside rule is all about timing, making sure attacking players time their runs. In fact, I got into football back in 2004 and the reason being because of the love I have for my country.

Viking Arty Party

Hey there all,

I have had the busiest week ever and so this post has taken a little bit of a back seat, why is the end of the school year so manic and hectic!? Anyway, I want to write a little bit about an event I attended on Saturday 25th June in London and can I just say it was one of the best I had ever been to. I thoroughly enjoyed myself in the company of other fellow bloggers and within all the activities set out. I have a strange feeling that one of the reasons I really enjoyed myself was because of the setup and structure of the event. To me, events are usually lots of different brands scattered around a room and lots of bloggers mingling in between them trying to talk to as many as possible to find out information as well as mingling with bloggers they may already know or recognise, but this event had more of a calm feel to it, it only had a certain amount of bloggers in and only three tables set up with activities for us to complete and discover. I have slight OCD so this to me was perfection as there wasn't a huge muddle everywhere, it was fun while still being organised. (How Monica from FRIENDS do I sound right now?)

How to get over a broken heart

Hello all,
I've been wanting to write a post on this topic for a little while now, I tried to gather as much feedback from lots of people of different ages, sexes and races to see if the results varied. I was actually quite surprised by the number one thing most people said about it.

I am of course talking about the subject "Heartbreak" (If you couldn't tell by the title). We've all been there, haven't we? we have all fully given ourselves to another human, and then had our heart smashed into millions of tiny pieces. One thing I've learnt while collecting feedback on this topic was that every ones experiences have been different and everyone goes through the different stages of a break up at different times, but if like me you have experienced a break up then it's fair play to say it hurts and it's an emotional roller coaster.

Saturday 18th June 2016 - Bloggers Ball

Hey there my beauties,

Over the weekend I was lucky enough to attend the Bloggers Ball hosted by the beautiful Scarlett London. The event was held in the night club DSTRKT based in London, about a 5 minute walk from Piccadilly Underground station and right next door to the Restaurant Bubba Gump. I have been to all of Scarletts events since the very first one she held years ago at a little restaurant where we had pizza with only about 9 of us and since then it has been lovely to see her progress and spread her wings with each event becoming bigger and busier than the last, she really keeps outdoing herself.

London City can be stressful at times

Hello my lovelies,
I love living in London, it's such a bright, busy and fun city to have grown up in and still be living in, but at times it gets a little crowded, you start to feel like you would just love some peace and quiet, you almost feel lost in your own city, its just so grand and there's people everywhere you go and it's all fast paced, its almost like there is never time to just have a minute to yourself.

Skewd; Restaurant Review

Hey there guys,
Today I wanted to do a little review of a restaurant I visited recently. Located in Cockfosters in London, and serving traditional Turkish food, the restaurant Skewd was one of the best I had been to in a while. I went with someone I'm going to call T for this post, as it's just not the right time.
The menu was reasonably priced, although it's more than what I usually pay for Turkish food, I did have a little extra than what I would normally too. We paid around £90 for two people for a three course meal, a bottle of wine and a cocktail, so it wasn't too bad, but more than my average.

The Disney Tag.. because i just had too

Oh hi there guys,

So I've seen this tag floating around in the blogging community for a while now, and I enjoy reading other peoples likes and dislikes based on it, so I've wanted to do it for the longest time, but not actually ever got around to it, but here I am now, fully ready to commit to it, so lets gooo..

Leziria Parque Hotel In Lisbon

I have stayed in some amazing hotels throughout my life, but I wanted to do a little review on this hotel that I have stayed in during my summer holidays in Lisbon Portugal.
I stayed in the hotel for a total of 3 days last year, as it was a short stop before I headed down to the Algarve, but its a hotel I have been to before, and it was a firm favourite with my family, so we have returned time and time again. I think in total we have stayed there on three of our summer holidays now.

Coming Back

When you've been away from your blog for over 6 months, you feel a number of things when you return. One, that everyone has lost all interest in your blog and therefore your readers are no longer there to read any content you post. Two, that you wont be motivated enough, or that what you are writing isn't even worth a blog post to begin with and three, you feel the need to say you are sorry for not being present. You feel that you need to explain why you were absent and then you need to apologise so that readers know you're sincere.
