Hello gorgeous readers, i got a book review for you all today, and its coming straight from my hotel room in Newcastle Upon Tyne.
Recently, me and one of my best mates Sasha decided to start a "Book Club" as we love to read, and thought it would be cool to read a story together and then discuss it a little. So we hopped on over to Asda, and i allowed her to choose the first book, she found "No Turning Back" by "Susan Lewis" so we brought it for £3.95 and gave ourselves a limit of 3-4 chapters a day! :)
The story is a family based story which for me started off slow, and took me a while to get into it properly but once i did get into it, i couldn't put the book down, it was a fascinating read, based on the life of a former model who had been attacked by a crazy stalker with a knife and thus had ended her career as a model, she was now living with her husband in the countryside of England, and the story follows her Eva, her husband Don, her sister Patty, her nephew Jake, her niece Olivia and her step daughter Jasmine (As well as a few extra characters thrown in for good measure). It also had a big focus on a mistake Eva made years ago when she was still modelling, (i wont give the mistake away, you should read it to find out about it..) ..but it focus on the fact that some mistakes, once made can not be altered or undone.. sometimes you just cant turn back, which in turn happens in the book more then once and in the past and present! Some things just cant be undone!
The story made me smile, and made em cry (in one small section, if you read it, you will know what section I'm talking about)..it was a good and easy read and one that i couldn't put down, i would recommend people have a try of this book, you might really enjoy it just get past the first few chapters as it takes a while to get in, a slow start but a great story!
What have you been reading lately?
